Clach Casualty began its operations in September 2025 and works exclusively through U.S. wholesale brokers.
Clach Casualty is part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, the specialty underwriting branch of Ryan Specialty. The company offers both primary and excess casualty coverage aimed at high-risk industries. Their main products include general liability insurance for New York contractors and owners, general liability-only wraps, and coverage for habitational real estate.
Leading Clach Casualty is Adam Schnell, a veteran in the casualty insurance field with over 30 years of experience. Before taking this role, Schnell was the Executive Vice President of Specialty Casualty at Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. He joined Ryan Specialty in 2024 when the firm acquired property and casualty MGUs owned by Ethos Specialty Insurance.
By creating Clach Casualty, Ryan Specialty is addressing the insurance needs for some of the more challenging real estate and construction risks, with strong backing and specialized coverage options. This move allows them to deliver tailored solutions through wholesale brokers across the U.S., filling a niche in the casualty insurance market.
