John Cicchelli has been named the new head of the employee benefits practice at World Insurance Associates LLC. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Iselin, New Jersey. Cicchelli will lead efforts to grow the business, focusing on expanding markets and developing new products across North America.
Cicchelli brings three decades of experience to his new role. Before joining World Insurance Associates, he worked at Gallagher as the leader for growth in the New York and New Jersey metro area. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Marsh & McLennan Agency, managing the Northeast region and overseeing employee health and benefits initiatives across the entire organization.
In other industry news, James River Group Holdings, Ltd. has added two new leaders to its excess and surplus lines team. Georgia Collier returns to James River after leading Markel Group’s nationwide commercial casualty division. Collier, who has more than 20 years of experience, will be based in Richmond, Virginia, where she will lead the specialty underwriting division and six related underwriting groups: allied health, energy, environmental, life sciences, management liability, and professional liability.
Matt Sinosky joins James River from Arch Capital Group Ltd., where he was vice president of wholesale distribution. With over 15 years in insurance, Sinosky will supervise the company’s wholesale channel efforts from his base in Pennsylvania. He will work closely with brokers and manage marketing and distribution strategies.
Both companies are investing in leadership to strengthen their positions and better serve their clients in a competitive insurance market.
