The Mutual Group, LLC has named Tom Troy as its new Chief Executive Officer, with his leadership starting on January 5, 2026. Troy brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior roles at several well-known carriers.
In his new position, Troy will focus on shaping the company’s future, growing its platform, and creating more value for its members. Before joining The Mutual Group, he was the Chief Transformation Officer at USAA. He also led CSAA Insurance Group as CEO and President, where he worked on launching new products, managing sales channels, and integrating innovative technology.
Troy’s experience goes beyond these roles. He was an Executive Vice President at Allstate, responsible for managing a large portfolio that included Esurance, Ivantage, Encompass, and business insurance lines. Earlier, he served in executive positions at Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance.
With his broad background across mutual and reciprocal carriers, Troy’s appointment signals a strong step forward for The Mutual Group as it looks to expand and improve its services.
