Personnel Updates: Marsh Elevates George to President of Marsh Specialty; Specialist Risk Group Appoints Marsh’s Morgan as Head of Corporate for UK Retail Division.

Marsh and Specialist Risk Group (SRG) have both announced significant appointments that are set to enhance their leadership teams and drive growth in their respective markets.

Marsh has named Andrew George as the new president of Marsh Specialty, effective immediately. Based in London, George will report directly to Martin South, the president and CEO of Marsh. His role will encompass overall responsibility for Marsh Specialty’s global operations, which includes various sectors such as Aviation, Climate & Sustainability, Construction, and Energy & Power, among others. George has a long history with Marsh, having joined the company in 1988. He brings over 35 years of experience, including leadership roles in the Energy Practice across the Middle East and Europe.

In addition, John Donnelly, who is currently the president of Global Placement, will be relocating from London to New York. He will also report to Martin South and join the Marsh Executive Committee alongside George.

Meanwhile, SRG has appointed Richard Morgan as the head of Corporate for its UK Retail pillar, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS). Morgan has a wealth of experience, having previously held senior positions at companies like Willis, JLT, and Towergate. Most recently, he was at Marsh, where he led the sales team for the Education practice. In his new role at SRG, Morgan will focus on driving growth across corporate teams in major cities such as London, Birmingham, and Manchester. His efforts will center on enhancing service quality and developing effective growth strategies in the corporate insurance market.
