CIBA, a company specializing in commercial real estate insurance, has announced that it is expanding its NexEdge individual limits property product into the Upper Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States. This move follows the successful launch of NexEdge in the Western States, and it shows CIBA’s dedication to providing customized insurance options for brokers and their clients nationwide.
With this expansion, NexEdge will now cover properties in several states. In the Upper Midwest, the new coverage includes Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. In the Southeast, the product will be available in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida.
CIBA’s expansion is backed by AZGUARD® Insurance Company, which is part of the Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies. AZGUARD is a non-admitted carrier in California, New York, and other states. All subsidiaries of Berkshire Hathaway GUARD have received an A+ Superior rating from A.M. Best, reaffirmed in July 2024. This strong financial backing enhances CIBA’s offerings and represents a natural extension of their existing partnership, which already includes support for CIBA’s General Liability product.
