Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Launches Minnesota Chapter

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has launched a new chapter in Minnesota, aimed at supporting local communities and enhancing lives. This chapter, part of the IICF Midwest Division, will focus on education, health, and safety initiatives in the Twin Cities area.

Jennifer Gentry, who is the Senior Vice President and Minneapolis Branch Manager at Chubb, will lead the Minnesota Chapter as its Founding Chair. The chapter’s inaugural meeting recently took place, where board members discussed their charitable goals and formed an Executive Committee. Alongside Gentry, the committee includes Vice Chair Michael Koelbl from Liberty Mutual, Development Co-Chairs Jamie Drugg of HUB International and Tom O’Donnell, and Grants Chair Jon Bauman from The Hanover.

The founding companies supporting the Minnesota Chapter include major players in the insurance industry such as Aon, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, and The Hartford, among others. This collaboration highlights the commitment of these companies to give back to the community.

IICF has a strong history of philanthropy, having granted $50 million to various community projects and contributing over 355,000 volunteer hours since its inception in 1994. With the addition of the Minnesota Chapter, the foundation aims to expand its reach and impact even further, helping more people in need.
