Leadership Changes at WorldTrips: Hsia Named CEO, Carney Steps Into Chairman Role

Tokio Marine HCC has made a leadership change at its travel insurance subsidiary, WorldTrips. The company, which is based in Carmel, Indiana, announced that Mark Carney will step down as CEO and take on the role of chairman. In this new position, Carney will continue to guide the company’s long-term plans and strategy.

Taking over as CEO is Philip Hsia, who has been part of Tokio Marine HCC’s travel group since 2018. Hsia has been overseeing the Global Travel Group, including WorldTrips, before stepping into the top leadership role. Tokio Marine HCC itself is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and WorldTrips is known as a key player in the travel insurance market.

This leadership switch comes as the company looks to keep growing and meeting the needs of travelers. Carney’s move to chairman suggests he will still play a big part in shaping the company’s future. Meanwhile, Hsia’s experience with the travel division positions him to lead WorldTrips through its next chapter.
