First MainStreet Insurance (FMSI) is making significant moves in the insurance market as it kicks off 2025 with new partnerships and a merger. Effective May 1, 2025, FMSI has teamed up with Rentz Agency and Midwest Health Benefits, both located in Morris, Minnesota. The Rentz Agency, led by Doug Wartner, has a long-standing history of providing property and casualty as well as health insurance solutions to the local community. Doug’s son, Jesse Wartner, is stepping in as a partner to help drive FMSI’s growth in the area.
On the same day, FMSI also completed a merger with Ruffcorn Insurance, which includes Capps Insurance from West Burlington and Muntz Insurance from Farmington. This merger is expected to significantly enhance FMSI’s footprint in southeastern Iowa. Ryan Ruffcorn, who has been in the insurance industry since 2003, leads this group and brings valuable experience and a strong client base to FMSI.
These strategic moves not only expand FMSI’s reach but also strengthen its ability to serve clients in the Midwest. The partnerships and merger highlight FMSI’s commitment to growth and improving insurance access in the region. As the company continues to evolve, it aims to leverage the local expertise of its new partners to better meet the needs of its customers.
