Ryan Specialty, a global leader in specialty insurance, is launching a new practice group called Ryan Specialty National Programs. This group will focus on specialty, class-specific package business, operating on both admitted and non-admitted bases. It will be part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM).
The new program aims to bring together various business units under one umbrella. This includes the Irwin Siegel Agency, which serves human and social service organizations; SUITELIFE Underwriting Managers, focusing on hotels and resorts; and the national programs acquired from All Risks, Ltd. in 2020. These programs cover a range of niche industries, including property, casualty, and workers’ compensation.
Miles Wuller, the Global CEO of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, expressed confidence that this new structure will enhance focus and efficiency in the specialty package program sector. He believes it will also foster innovation in this niche area.
Shawn Yingling will lead the Ryan Specialty National Programs as CEO. Yingling joined Ryan Specialty in 2024 and brings over 30 years of experience in program development. Before this role, he served as the chief retail distribution officer and worked at AIG as the alternative channels distribution leader for North America.
Ryan Specialty operates as a wholesale broker and managing underwriter, providing services like distribution, underwriting, and risk management. This new practice group is expected to strengthen their position in the specialty insurance market by leveraging existing resources and expertise.
