Personnel Changes: Arch Insurance Appoints Seip from LSM as Head of Fine Art & Specie for Europe; Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Elevates Gormley and Reddin in Ireland.

Arch Insurance has announced that Paul Seip is now the head of Fine Art & Specie for European Markets, effective immediately. This new role is based in Rotterdam, where Seip will work on developing the company’s underwriting platform for fine art and specialty insurance across Europe.

Seip joins Arch Insurance with over 12 years of experience in the fine art and specie sector. Before this, he worked at Liberty Specialty Markets as the underwriting manager for the Benelux and Scandinavia regions. He has also held positions at AXA ART and Allianz.

In his new position, Seip will oversee a range of insurance products, including fine art, general specie, jewellers block, and cash in transit insurance. He will collaborate closely with Peter Brooks, who leads Fine Art & Specie for Global Markets at Arch Insurance International.

Matthew Brophy, chief underwriting officer at Arch Insurance (EU) dac, expressed enthusiasm about Seip’s appointment. He noted that Seip’s experience and market knowledge will be crucial as the company expands its Fine Art & Specie portfolio in Europe.

In a related development, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted Caoimhe Gormley to country manager in Ireland and Ciaran Reddin to head of Executive & Professional Lines. Gormley, who has been with BHSI since 2018, will continue her role in customer and broker engagement while taking on her new responsibilities. Reddin, who joined BHSI in 2019, has over a decade of industry experience.

Alessandro Cerase, head of Europe at BHSI, praised Gormley and Reddin for their leadership and contributions to the company’s growth in Ireland. BHSI offers a variety of property and casualty insurance products, along with executive and professional lines, in the region.
