Personnel Changes: Arch Insurance Appoints Two Senior Leaders to Casualty Team in Spain

Arch Insurance has made significant changes to its leadership team in Spain by appointing Carmen Cobeta as the head of Casualty and Irene Fernandez Franic as a senior casualty underwriter. These appointments are effective immediately and mark a new chapter for the company in the region.

Both Cobeta and Fernandez Franic will work from Madrid, focusing on expanding Arch’s casualty portfolio in Spain and Portugal. Their responsibilities will include writing various forms of liability coverage, such as primary, umbrella, and excess liability, across several sectors, including industrial, manufacturing, and rail.

Carmen Cobeta brings over 20 years of experience in the casualty insurance field. Before joining Arch, she worked at QBE Europe, where she held several key positions, including regional broker relationship manager and liability portfolio manager. She also has a background in underwriting with Chubb.

Irene Fernandez Franic also has a strong background in insurance, with more than 20 years of experience. She previously served as the Head of International Construction at Howden. Fernandez Franic has worked in both broking and underwriting roles at Aon, Generali, and QBE Europe.

These new appointments highlight Arch Insurance’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the European market, particularly in providing specialized property and casualty insurance solutions. With Cobeta and Fernandez Franic at the helm, the company aims to enhance its offerings and support various industries in need of comprehensive liability coverage.
