Sakraida brings over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new role. Before joining SAN, he worked as a senior project manager at Comparion Insurance Agency. His background includes leading successful sales teams and enhancing agent performance through technology and process improvements.
In another development, Pro-Praxis, part of Starwind Specialty Insurance Services based in New York City, has appointed Joseph Washington as vice president of underwriting. Washington will manage one of the company’s highly rated programs and will also be responsible for developing new business initiatives.
With three decades of experience in underwriting, Washington has a strong focus on the property and casualty needs of the healthcare sector, particularly in medical professional liability. Before his role at Pro-Praxis, he was an underwriting manager at Beazley and held vice president positions at both Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and Zurich North America.
These appointments reflect a commitment to strengthening leadership in the insurance industry, ensuring that both SAN and Pro-Praxis are well-positioned for future growth and success.
