Encova Insurance, based in Columbus, Ohio, has announced two new vice president appointments. Zach Webber will lead as vice president of corporate actuarial, while Boppana Rao takes on the role of vice president for enterprise digitization, AI, and data.
Webber brings nearly 20 years of experience working with both commercial and personal insurance lines. He has a strong background in reserving and pricing. Before joining Encova, he worked with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Nationwide Insurance. At Encova, he will head the corporate actuarial team and focus mainly on reserving and statistical reporting.
Rao joins Encova’s IT department with a focus on enterprise digitization, artificial intelligence, and data management. His previous roles include leadership positions at Abercrombie & Fitch and Safelite. Rao has led digital modernization projects across insurance and retail industries, concentrating on cloud-native systems, AI and machine learning, as well as data governance.
These new hires come as Encova continues to grow and invest in both actuarial expertise and technology innovation. Their combined experience aims to strengthen Encova’s efforts in risk assessment and digital progress in a competitive insurance market.
