Thomas Evans, Jr. of Biglow & Company, Inc. in Fox Lake, Illinois, has been named the new president of Big I Illinois. The announcement came during the organization’s annual convention held earlier this month in Peoria. Evans will lead the group for the next year, taking on the role of representing Illinois insurance agents at both state and national events.
Evans brings a long history in the insurance business, starting in 1996 with an internship while he was a student at Northern Illinois University. Over the years, he worked his way up through various roles before joining Biglow & Company, where he has been a key team member for several years.
As president, Evans plans to focus on three main areas: advocacy, member engagement, and industry education. He is especially eager to encourage more young agents to get involved in the association. His experience within Big I Illinois is extensive, having served as a Regional Director, At Large Director, member of the Government Relations Committee, Vice President, and President-Elect.
With his new leadership role, Evans will help guide the direction of Big I Illinois while acting as the official voice for the state’s independent agents. Those who know him say he is ready to roll up his sleeves and make a positive impact during his term.
