The Alabama Department of Insurance has appointed Nicole Boswell as its new accounting director. This announcement comes as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its financial operations.
Boswell has been with the department since 2008, bringing over 15 years of experience in various accounting roles. Before her new position, she served as the accounting manager of financial operations and as the assistant financial officer. In those roles, she managed the department’s budget, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll.
In addition to her work at the Department of Insurance, Boswell is involved with the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) as the National Governing Board Area Director for Area 4.
A proud native of Tuskegee, Alabama, Boswell holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in business administration from Troy University and Troy University Montgomery, respectively. Her educational background and extensive experience make her well-suited for this new role.
The Alabama Department of Insurance looks forward to Boswell’s leadership as it continues to enhance its financial management practices.
