Personnel Updates: Jenks Appointed President of JH Blades; Gonzales Joins Alliant Healthcare

Starwind Specialty Insurance Services has appointed Graham Jenks as the new president of JH Blades Group, which includes JH Blades Energy, JH Blades Marine, Southern Marine, and Energy Technical Underwriters (ETU). This group is a key part of Starwind, a company that operates under the CRC Group banner and is based in New York City.

Jenks brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has spent the last eight years as president of Southern Marine and has also worked as a vice president and marine underwriter at the company. Before joining Southern Marine in 2012, he was a marine cargo broker at Price Forbes and Partners.

His appointment follows the retirement of Richard Martin, who led JH Blades for many years. Martin’s departure marks the end of an era for the company, which has seen significant growth and development under his leadership.

In another notable move, Michael Gonzales has joined Alliant Insurance Services as a first vice president. He will be part of the value-based healthcare and risk management solutions team within the employee benefits group. Based in North Carolina, Gonzales will collaborate with clients across the healthcare industry.

Gonzales has over two decades of experience in business development and sales operations, with a strong focus on healthcare. Before joining Alliant, he served as vice president of sales at MedEvolve. His previous roles included regional director at Waystar and director of business development at McKesson.

These changes reflect the ongoing evolution in the insurance and healthcare sectors, as companies seek leaders with deep industry knowledge and a commitment to innovative solutions.
