Personnel Updates: Liberty GTS Appoints Remsen as Head of East, Americas; Amwins Names Black as National Property Leader; Tasse to Lead Amwins Underwriting Growth

Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) and Amwins, two major players in the insurance world, have announced key leadership updates that highlight their continued growth and focus on expertise.

Jason Remsen has been named head of East, Americas at Liberty GTS. Based in New York City, Remsen brings a strong background as a corporate attorney, with experience working on mergers and acquisitions for private equity and corporate clients. Before joining Liberty GTS, he held roles at well-known law firms including Pepper Hamilton LLP, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, and McDermott Will & Emery LLP. At Liberty GTS, he will report directly to Hilary Weiss, who leads the Americas division.

Over at Amwins, the global insurance distributor headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bob Black has stepped into the role of national property practice leader within the brokerage division. Black shares leadership of the national property practice with Harry Tucker and Jessica Zuiker. With more than 20 years at Amwins, Black has a deep well of experience, having led property teams and served as the national real estate practice leader for 14 years. As he moves into this new position, he will transfer his current book of business to other brokers, while Adam Terry takes over as national real estate practice leader.

Amwins also welcomed Ben Tasse as head of distribution and growth for its underwriting division, a role created to boost long-term development. Tasse’s background includes nearly 20 years in underwriting, wholesale distribution, and strategic roles. He joins from Sompo North America, where he was senior vice president of wholesale business development. Tasse also has experience from leadership roles at Axis Insurance, focusing on private equity risks and complex liability.

These changes reflect both companies’ efforts to strengthen their leadership teams with experts who bring industry knowledge and fresh perspectives. With experienced professionals like Remsen, Black, and Tasse in key roles, Liberty GTS and Amwins are positioning themselves for continued success in a competitive market.
