Zurich North America has announced important leadership changes in its customer and distribution management team. The company made the announcement on April 17, 2025, as part of its effort to strengthen relationships with brokers and improve customer support across the United States.
Three key promotions were revealed: Carl Sutter, Andy Peterson, and Allison McEnerney Sletteland. Sutter will now serve as the head of national strategic broker relationships. He previously held the position of head of regional distribution and has been with Zurich since 2021. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including leadership roles at Chubb and ACE USA, Sutter will focus on building strong partnerships with key brokers nationwide.
Andy Peterson, who was the regional executive for New York Metro, has been promoted to lead the national team of regional executives, area executives, and territory leaders. He will guide the implementation of Zurich’s distribution strategy in North America. Peterson has been with the company since 2008 and has held several leadership roles, making him well-suited for this new position.
Allison McEnerney Sletteland has taken on the role of regional executive for the New York Metro region. She previously worked as a broker relationship leader and has been with Zurich since 2008, following her time at Marsh McLennan, Priceline, and Citigroup. In her new role, she will oversee Zurich’s operations in a key market.
John Diaz, head of customer and distribution management, expressed confidence in the new appointments. He highlighted the extensive experience and expertise that Sutter, Peterson, and Sletteland bring to their roles. Diaz noted that these promotions reflect the strong talent pool within Zurich.
These leadership changes are part of Zurich’s broader strategy to enhance its distribution partnerships and customer engagement, positioning the company for future success in the competitive insurance market.
