The Board of Directors at Capital Farm Credit has recently approved the acquisition of two crop insurance agencies in the Texas Plains Region. This move aims to strengthen their role as a dependable provider of essential crop insurance policies.
The agencies involved in this deal are Bennett Crop Insurance and Taylor Crop Insurance, both of which were independent and based near Lubbock, Texas. With this acquisition, Capital Farm Credit expands its reach, adding nine new employees and two additional locations to its service area.
Bennett Crop Insurance has been a family-run business since 2004, serving several counties in the Panhandle from its base in Brownfield, Texas. Taylor Crop Insurance has a longer history, operating for over 40 years and focusing primarily on cotton producers in Lubbock and Hockley counties. This agency also began as a family-owned business in Ropesville, Texas.
Capital Farm Credit is an agricultural lending cooperative that has been providing crop and livestock insurance for more than a decade. This acquisition reflects its commitment to supporting farmers and ranchers in Texas by ensuring they have access to vital insurance services.
With these new additions, Capital Farm Credit is well-positioned to enhance its offerings and better serve the agricultural community in the region.
