Specialty Program Group Completes Acquisition of Miami-Based ANOVA Marine Insurance

Specialty Program Group, based in Chicago, has bought ANOVA Marine Insurance, a managing general agent and Lloyd’s coverholder located in Florida. ANOVA, which started in 2011, provides insurance for cargo, logistics, liability, and bonds. Their clients include shipping lines, trading companies, and freight forwarders around the world.

ANOVA has offices in Miami and New Jersey, and Bradford Boyd, the founder and president, will continue to lead the company. The firm recently welcomed several new team members to important roles. Andrew Voke, who has over 40 years of experience, joined as a senior advisor. He has previously held senior positions at Chaucer Syndicates and Marsh. Erin Boll, with more than two decades of experience in logistics insurance, was named director of underwriting. She came from DUAL North America, where she was senior vice president of logistics. Anthony Clark, also from DUAL North America, joined as associate director of underwriting. Logan Pearce, formerly associate counsel at Falvey Underwriting, is now heading claims and recoveries and will manage claims and recovery strategies.

The acquisition expands Specialty Program Group’s reach in the marine and logistics insurance market. With ANOVA’s expertise in automated coverage and global policies, the combined companies are well-positioned to better serve clients in this specialized field.
