Brown & Brown acquires American Adventure

Brown & Brown Dealer Services has taken a big step by acquiring American Adventure Insurance, a company that works closely with vehicle dealers across the U.S. This move will bring over 1,500 dealerships under Brown & Brown’s wing, expanding its reach and services nationwide.

American Adventure Insurance has been around since the early 1990s. It was built on a dealer-focused approach by Paul Bender, who still leads the company. The business offers insurance solutions right at the point of sale, covering things like motor homes, campers, boats, motorcycles, and more. It also provides finance and insurance products for automotive dealers and commercial insurance options.

Paul Bender shared his excitement about joining Brown & Brown. He said their dealer network plus Brown & Brown’s expertise will create a platform that can grow without losing the personal touch dealers rely on. Bender and his team will now report to Mike Neal, the president of Brown & Brown Dealer Services.

Mike Neal welcomed the new team, noting that American Adventure’s offerings will expand what Brown & Brown can provide its dealer partners. He sees the acquisition as a way to bring fresh solutions and support for dealerships across the country.

This deal is part of a busy time for Brown & Brown. Just last year, they purchased Accession Risk Management Group for nearly $9.83 billion. That deal added a large specialty brokerage network to their portfolio. Brown & Brown has also been investing in other agencies and specialty businesses recently.

With American Adventure now part of the family, Brown & Brown Dealer Services is poised to offer more insurance choices at the dealership level, helping dealers and their customers alike.
