Ryan Specialty has appointed Brad Storey as the new president of the Irwin Siegel Agency (ISA), effective immediately. This agency is known for its focus on the social service sector and operates under Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM).
Storey has been with ISA for over 17 years, having joined the agency as the director of risk management. He has held various leadership positions, including executive vice president. His extensive experience in the agency and background in human services, particularly in mental health and substance use, make him a strong fit for this role. Storey holds a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and is a Certified Praesidium Guardian, which indicates his training in risk management and abuse prevention.
Howard Siegel, who previously served as president of ISA, will transition to the role of executive chairman. Siegel has a long history with the agency, having started in 1979 as a personal lines underwriter and working his way up through the ranks. He has been influential in shaping ISA into a respected platform in the insurance industry.
Shawn Yingling, CEO of RSUM National Programs, expressed enthusiasm for the leadership changes, noting the agency’s commitment to insuring organizations that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Yingling highlighted Siegel’s contributions and praised Storey for his expertise and dedication.
This leadership shift comes as Ryan Specialty continues to expand its offerings, recently launching a new practice group focused on specialty insurance products. The company aims to enhance its services in the insurance market while maintaining its dedication to the social services sector.
