Warner Pacific has acquired Black, Gould & Associates.

Warner Pacific, a national general agency, has announced its acquisition of Black, Gould & Associates (BGA), a full-service general agency that provides extensive back-office services for agents and brokers. This deal, which took place on April 4, 2025, marks a significant step in Warner Pacific’s strategy to grow and enhance its offerings across the United States.

While the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, it is notable that BGA, founded in 1980 and based in Phoenix, Arizona, serves over 2,500 agents and agencies. The agency represents more than 8,000 group insurance clients and caters to around 60,000 individual policyholders. This acquisition is the seventh for Warner Pacific in the past year, showcasing its ambition to expand, particularly in the Southwest region.

John Nelson, co-CEO of Warner Pacific, expressed enthusiasm about the deal, stating that BGA aligns perfectly with their goals due to its focus on individual, group, and Medicare products. He emphasized the company’s vision of becoming the leading wholesale benefits distributor in the U.S. and welcomed the BGA team as they look to broaden their geographic presence and product offerings.

Warner Pacific has been active in its growth strategy, having made several acquisitions in recent years. In December 2024, the company acquired five general agencies from Acrisure, which bolstered its national position. Additionally, it strengthened its presence in the Southwest with the acquisition of Ashmore Agency in Texas. In November 2023, Warner Pacific expanded into Minnesota by acquiring BeneUSA, an agency specializing in ancillary group insurance products.

These strategic moves reflect Warner Pacific’s commitment to growth and its desire to better serve its broker network while meeting the increasing demand for a wide range of insurance products.
