Willis names global claims lead

Willis, part of the WTW group, has named Louie Clarke as its new global head of claims strategy and execution within the Risk & Broking division. The announcement came on Monday, signaling a key leadership change at the company.

Clarke, who will be based in London, will lead the development and rollout of claims services and solutions for clients around the world. He will join the global claims leadership team and report directly to Neil Harrison, the firm’s global head of claims.

“We are excited to have Louie on board,” said Harrison. “This move shows our ongoing focus on claims, which is an important part of what Willis offers clients. We want to keep bringing in talented professionals like Louie to strengthen our team and enhance our service.”

Before joining Willis, Clarke held leadership roles in claims at Aon. His experience is expected to help Willis improve its claims processes and client offerings.

WTW operates in over 140 countries, providing data-driven services in people, risk, and capital. In the third quarter of 2025, its Risk & Broking business earned $1.01 billion USD, a 7% increase compared to the previous year. While overall revenue has fluctuated recently, WTW has seen steady organic growth in key areas.

Meanwhile, the Canadian insurance market is changing. According to Aon’s Spring 2025 Canadian Insurance Market Update, the commercial property and casualty sector remains well-capitalized despite high catastrophe losses. Aon’s Fall 2025 update points to a softening market with more capacity and competition, and insurers are focusing on keeping clients with broader coverage options.

With Clarke’s new role, Willis looks set to strengthen its claims team and continue growing in this evolving market.
