Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, part of Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN), has announced a rebrand of its North American Professional Liability team. The group will now operate under the name Ryan Financial Lines, focusing on a broad range of financial lines insurance products.
The team, which started in October 2021, has gained a strong reputation for providing insurance to professional service businesses across the U.S. They offer both primary and excess coverage to big, risk-managed clients such as law firms, accounting firms, architects, engineers, and construction professionals. Their underwriting work is backed by a global A+ rated insurance carrier.
Now based in Ryan Specialty’s London office, Patrick Comerford and Clive Moore lead the international side of Ryan Financial Lines. Both have an impressive background in professional liability insurance. Comerford led AIG and Lexington’s U.S. Professional Liability team in London for almost 20 years, while Moore held key underwriting roles at Brit Insurance in their Lloyd’s U.S. Professional Liability division. Together, they have more than 80 years of experience.
This rebranding and the leadership of Comerford and Moore add significant strength to Ryan Financial Lines’ global offerings, especially in U.S. professional liability. The move highlights Ryan Specialty’s commitment to growing its reach and expertise in this important area of insurance.
