The Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) is setting up a pop-up office in Lake Charles to help local residents with their insurance questions and concerns. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Wednesday, Dec. 3. It will be located on the first floor of City Hall, in the Pioneer Hall (Bilbo Room) at 326 Pujo Street.
LDI staff will be on site to answer questions, explain insurance policies, and offer support on various insurance topics. Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple encourages people in Lake Charles and nearby areas to drop by. He highlights that understanding your insurance, from auto coverage to discounts, is important. The team will also provide guidance on state programs such as the Fortify Homes Program and the Wind Mitigation Survey.
Residents are advised to bring any insurance documents or questions they might have to get the most out of the visit. This event is a good chance to get clear answers and learn more about protecting your family and property.
