JM Wilson, a company based in Portage, Michigan, recently announced several key promotions within its property and casualty (P&C) team. Natalie Staruch has been promoted to executive P&C underwriter. In her new role, she will handle both new and renewal commercial risks, collaborating with carrier underwriters and independent insurance agents in the southern region. Staruch joined JM Wilson in 2021 as a P&C underwriter and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a senior P&C underwriter in 2023. She brings over 14 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Devan Dodd also received a promotion to executive P&C underwriter. He has been with JM Wilson since 2014, starting as an intern. Dodd has progressed through various positions, including P&C technician and senior P&C underwriter, and now he will focus on underwriting commercial risks in Michigan and Texas.
Additionally, Jim Ladik has been elevated to senior P&C underwriter. He will work on underwriting new and renewal commercial risks, similar to his colleagues. Ladik joined JM Wilson in March 2022 as a P&C underwriter.
The company also welcomed back Phil Snyder-Knutson as a senior transportation underwriter. Snyder-Knutson, who has 15 years of experience, will be responsible for underwriting commercial transportation risks across Michigan, Minnesota, and Texas. He previously worked at JM Wilson before moving on to other opportunities.
