Personnel Update: Rockford Mutual Elevates Kriens to Claims VP Following Kennedy’s Retirement

Rockford Mutual Insurance Company (RMIC) has named Ann Kriens as its new vice president of claims. The move comes after Patrick Kennedy, the former vice president of claims and internal counsel, retired on July 1.

Kriens has been with RMIC since 2014 and brings a strong background to her new role. Before joining the company, she spent 20 years at Economy/MetLife, where she held several roles including adjuster, support supervisor, property subrogation manager, and home operations manager. Most recently, she served as RMIC’s assistant vice president of claims.

Patrick Kennedy, who retired this month, had a long track record with RMIC. He started in 2010 as litigation manager, then became casualty claims manager and internal counsel, before stepping into the vice president position in 2018.

With Kriens stepping up, RMIC looks to continue its focus on solid claims management under experienced leadership. Her deep knowledge of claims and her years of experience inside and outside the company position her well to take on this important role.
